“Super fun. Great views and great food!”
    Response from Cloud 9 Living
Hi Jonathan!  Superb review! We are glad it was a fun time!  Best, Sophia
“Outstanding!!!, The Host 'Swan' Was a classy European with Charm, who enhanced our 'Special "50th" Anniversary'. We went on a similar "Bateau" Dinner Cruise in France some years ago, and I almost asked the Band if they were on that Cruise 10 years ago, same music and songs, 1 girl, 4 guys, they were great, as was Allison our server.”
    Response from Cloud 9 Living

“Super experience! Every New Yorker should enjoy as well as all out-of-towners. The views were spectacular especially the Statue of Liberty lit up in the evening. Extraordinary! The music was superior, beautiful voices and an excellent selection of songs in the perfect order. Staff was friendly, polite, and very willing to please. We loved it!”
    “Great boat, excellent food quality.”

“A neat dinner/sightseeing cruise of Lower Manhattan from both rivers plus the harbor and the Statue of Liberty. Nice food, drink and entertainment. Great date idea. ”
“My experience with Cloud 9 Living for booking was just fine. I got my booking in a timely fashion. My experience with the Bateaux Dinner Cruise was okay. We had fun, however the food service was mediocre considering the advertised upscale dining. The server was super-friendly and full of personality, but aloof at the same time. We waited for our appetizers for a long time. The view is what saved it. But there is only so much you can look at if you're actually hungry and know you've waited past any normal wait time for the 1st course. Server seemed forgetful. Overall the service part needs work and tuning. So is the decor. It could use some cute lights, and maybe some vines to warm it up. And the photo thing that is done, its a little outdated in my opinion, the times are different now. And the purchasing of the photos felt a little forceful. I suggest having a tablet or something to preview photos before printing. Overall experience was a 6. It's a suggested experience because it's unique. A nice touch to switch it up. Hope you will take my genuine opinions into consideration. Thank you! ”
“We had a wonderful time on our Bateaux dinner cruise. Our children gave this as a gift to us, and we enjoyed this dinner cruise to celebrate our anniversary. From booking the date to the end of our dinner cruise, we enjoyed a fantastic and courteous experience. We were greeted by a respectful and pleasant gentleman upon boarding the boat. He had asked us if we were celebrating anything, and we told him that we were celebrating our anniversary. When it came time for dessert, we were served our cake acknowledging our anniversary in writing with icing on the plate. What a beautiful gesture. Our waiter's name was Jose. He was so pleasant, kind, helpful, and respectful. We had a terrific and enjoyable dinner cruise experience. What a great and amazing gift from our thoughtful and wonderful children. ”
“The staff was very nice and helpful.”
“We had a great time on this cruise. Staff was very friendly and food was excellent. Highly recommended!”
“The dinner cruise on the Bateaux is a first-class experience! From the food, to the staff, and the Bateaux itself. Beautiful views with great live music. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Thank you for a wonderful evening!”
“The ride was delightful, very friendly people aboard. Food left a lot to be desired.”
“While our original lunch cruise was cancelled at the last minute, the dinner cruise that we replaced it with was fantastic. From the food to the service, everything was top-notch. I would definitely recommend it to anyone celebrating a special occasion.”
“Over a year ago, my brother gifted me with a Cloud 9 Living experience gift for a New York City Dinner Cruise on the Bateaux. It sat on my desk all this time until my wife and I chose to make a last-minute New York trip. Usually, we go to New York 4-5 times a year for Broadway shows and dinner, staying the weekend. Usually there is at least one other couple with us. This was to be a one-day trip for two to catch a Sunday matinee show, followed by dinner and a quick return home. I have been on the Spirit of Philadelphia numerous times and found it to be "okay." No way were we prepared for the First Class treatment we received on the Bateaux. First of all, it is a more modern ship than the Spirit of Philadelphia. Instead of an enclosed cabin with standard windows, the Bateaux is fashioned like a greenhouse, with glass roof and sides, providing unobstructed views of your surroundings and maximizing outside light. While other dinner cruises typically provide a buffet, the Bateaux was a formal, seated dinner. We were escorted to an over-large table for two, amid-ship, facing starboard. Our waiter asked if we were celebrating anything special. Our anniversary had just passed so we told them that was why we were here. We were treated to complimentary glasses of Prosecco. We had choices for appetizers, soup, salad, entrees, and dessert. The appetizers included some for which a supplemental fee was charged, like a seafood tower of shellfish, but those items were not really needed considering the choices included in the fare. My wife enjoyed a beet and goat cheese salad while I had a delicious seafood chowder. Salad was fresh and crisp. Soup was steaming hot and filled with seafood. We both chose the braised short ribs for our entrees, and they were so tender they fell off the fork. Desserts included sorbets and berries, cakes and pies, and ice cream. Everything we saw passing looked great. We both had sorbets with berries, we both loved them. The food portions were large, cooked just right and served at a leisurely pace, no hurry to get everyone served and cleaned up. The alcohol was extra, but extremely reasonably priced. On many ships this is the money maker. Not the case here. The dinner alone was worth the price of admission, but that was just the start. The entertainment was phenomenal. A lead female singer strolled around the dining areas while at the bandstand there was a woman on piano, and two men playing horns, guitars, bass and rhythm. This group played everything from old standards of the 50's, to the most current popular music, right up to "Uptown Funk." The musicians were excellent and the lead singer was marvelous. The lady on the piano was totally unbelievable, singing and playing a jazz version of "All About That Bass," and singing backup for the lead and solo while the lead took a break. Great experience, but still more to report. The tour itself was breathtaking. We stopped right at the foot of the Statue of Liberty for picture taking. We were also treated to front row views of the new One World Trade Center, the Empire State Building and the various bridges connecting the boroughs of New York. Even though it was raining, the views were spectacular. The ambiance was all you could ask for. Food, mood, entertainment, excellent service and awesome views, reasonably priced - a truly First Class cruise experience. ”
“Generally a really good experience. A little stressful initially, as they could not find our tickets at the Spirit Cruise counter when we arrived, but that was resolved. There were a few minor issues with dinner --- very slow drink service initially, and the appetizer was really goofed up at our table (two people, one who is a pescetarian, ended up getting duck instead of tuna). All in all, the food was good and the views were spectacular. One waiter was so nice (not the one for our table, but for a nearby table), and would stop to offer details about what we were seeing and where landmarks were, which was very helpful.”
“This was perfect for a birthday dinner --- and my family raved about it. The views were phenomenal. However, I did not care for the food, and the service was pretty poor. We had multiple servers bring out the wrong dishes, and when my sister ordered a coffee it showed up over an hour later. We also had a pescetarian in the group who had a soy allergy (which we pre-notified the crew of at booking)... and the only fish dish on the menu contained soy.”
“This was a great cruise lots of unexpected little extras and friendly staff. We would do this cruise again. ”
“Good Food, friendly staff, excellent Jazz band. Regarding the dress code, nice jeans are permitted. Overall very nice experience, would recommend it.”
“The Manhatten cruise and gourmet dinner was the Highlight of our stay in New York”
“Our waiter Ashanti was simply incredible, he had a great knowledge of the menu, he was always one step ahead with helping us with things we needed, he often came by to explain the sites we were passing and he was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Great Job!”
“The service, food and trip wee exceptional. The crew were very helpful, and went out of their way to point out landmarks throughout the tour. There was some confusion as to what was included - we were first told everything from the bar was included, but when I ordered a bottle of wine, the waiter told me I was limited to wine by the glass. This was a gift, so I don't know how the booking process was.”
“Everyone was so helpful!!! The girl on the phone was super friendly and simon, our server on the boat, was fantastic!!! Such a great experience”
“It was great. The food was better then I thought it would be. Very classy. It was worth every penny. I highly recommend cloud 9 living to take care of anyone's bookings. Thanks for being professional. ”
“We were in NYC 5 days which sound like a lot of time until you start trying to "do everything" so giving up three hours is a pretty big deal. We could not have been happier with the time or money spent. Getting the experience booked and our questions answered were handled perfectly by the Cloud 9 representatives. Once we were on board, it just got better. The staff, especially Ashanti -our server- were incredible! We LOVED the cruise so much!! The only feedback we would give was about the dress code. We called Cloud 9 to confirm required dress and we're told no jeans were permitted. (This was not clear on the Wells Fargo site where we initially purchased the cruise). We had to go buy dress pants for one of the members of our party -which we were happy to do in order to comply with the code. However, several people were in jeans, one even wearing a GAP hoodie as well. We weren't looking for a fancy event but given the fact that we made a specific purchase only yo find out jeans WOULD have been fine was a bit annoying. ”
“New York dinner cruise was everything I expected !! Attractive dining room , beautiful ship and overall first class experience. Will do another adventure in the near future !!”
“staff there is really nice but the experience its really old. Food its not good enough for what it costs. I think there are better thing for the price that I paid, I expected at least a good meal. ”
“The cruise around NYC was fantastic, the dinner exceeded my expectations. The staff were very attentive and always ready to provide information about the sights we were seeing. Thoroughly enjoyable evening!”
“The cruise was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to do it again!!”
“The booking was very easy and well discripted. The event itself was a bit over priced for the experience but the staff and event itself was excellent. ”
“Food was just average, but the views, service, etc...were amazing. Also, the live entertainment would have been better, in my opinion, if it were vocal-free. The singer was talented, but it made the experience seem a little dated and cheesy. I think just having the pianist would be, other musicians would have seemed classier. It felt a little like an SNL skit when she was doing loungey versions of Jay-Z. ”
“While we had no problems booking the experience and loved Bateaux NY we did not appreciate that our First Class package for which we paid an additional $290 was not recorded or immediately acknowledged. We knew something was wrong when we looked around at the tables and saw where we were seated. It did not make sense. We went to the maitre'd and he indicated that we did not have the First Class package and asked if we had a receipt. We told him we gave the receipt at the booking desk on the dock to receive the tickets. We did not even think to look at the tickets to confirm the First Class status. He said he would call the desk and came back and told us we did not have the First Class package. We said we did and that our credit card was charged already and he asked us if we wanted to purchase the First Class package. We said we did that already and were not recharging our card. We then waited while all around us folks were being seated and served. The waitress was lovely and understood our position and served us complimentary champagne. And we waited and we waited and finally we just said to each other that we will stay where we are and deal with getting a refund. Finally the maitre'd came back and said that indeed we did have the First Class package that we said we had and moved us to a different table with a bottle of champagne. My husband was very annoyed that the problem existed at all. There is NO excuse for there to be any confusion when people spent over $500 for dinner. There was no First Class section as stated in the add and no additional perks as stated in the add other than the open bar. We did enjoy the evening but it had way too rocky a beginning for a $500 night.”
“What a great cruise. The food was impeccable, music great, and staff second to none. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Thank you.”
“We took the Dinner Cruise from Chelsea Piers. What an amazing evening - from the friendliness of the staff, to the accommodations, to the entertainment and also the awesome food. My husband and I were extremely pleased with our experience. The most breathtaking part of the evening was while we were at the Statue of Liberty - Fanfare for the Common Man - was being played. What an emotional experience - one that I will never forget. What a sight to see the Statue lit up and have that music being played. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really puts things in perspective - how proud we should be as Americans. Thank you for a wonderful evening.”
“Was a excellent trip, was a surprise for my husband to celebrate our 17 Anniversary...”
“Austin, our server aboard the ship made the difference between a mediocre night and a wonderful evening free of worries. He's a gentleman and I'm glad we were seated in his section”
“Boat, view, service, and experience were outstanding. Food was just ok at best.”
“We went on the gourmet dinner cruise on the Bateaux in NYC. The ambience was beautiful. My girlfriend at the time now my fiance and I was dissappointed in the food. Sorry to say that everything we ordered, we did not enjoy or just didn't taste right. I had a list of songs about 15 hopefully the singer would be able to sing at least 1 out of the 15 love songs. This was not possible so I did pick a song from her list to dedicate to my girlfriend at the time. I was planning on proposing to her on the deck but always were people out there taking pictures and crowded. But I ended up proposing in the parking lot after the cruise was over. I wish the food was better than what it was. For this reason only I can't recommend nor probably will not go again on. Joban Thomas”
“We will really cherish the memory of our dinner cruise on the Bateaux down the Hudson River in NYC. We were invited up to join the captain who let our son steer the ship! great service! great food! such a good time! made our 25th anniversary very special. thanks to all!”
“Thank you Cloud 9 for an unforgettable night. It was a great way to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. It was great food, great weather and great scenery. And very entertaining live music. ”
“We set out to have a good and a different experience that evening. This dinner cruise was everything it promised to be. Working with Daniel Begg of the Cloud 9 team was a pleasure as he was dedicated to make things work for my husband and me. ”
